Project 365-Week 9

So, I JUST got on here to look at everyones pictures of the week and check my comments and I realized that I hadn't posted. I only linked up. lol Have had ALOT on my plate lately. Sorry. Makes the paragraph under this one really funny. :)

I am getting better at this deadline thing. I am on time. Yay! I had fun this week. Got a good mix of both the girls. I feel like I am taking too many of those two sometimes and not enough of my other things in life. Wait....what other things. :)So, there are actually a couple in here that they are not in!

If you aren't a part of Project 365....you should be. It's alot of fun! Go here to link up if you are. Sara is doing it every week and I am so greatful!

SUNDAY

I ususally let Audrey watch a movie while I get ready for church. I came in the living room and this is what I found. She had drug the swing to face the tv and given Avery her blankie. What a sweet sister.

MONDAY

So, here is a picture of Audrey's new friend. What? You can't see him? He's right there on her finger. Noooooo. On her finger. Yes! That is it. That is "Bird Glasscock". He is her first imaginary friend. He flew all over the house Sunday night and was back Monday morning for breakfast. He perches on her finger and goes everywhere with us. He's yellow by the way.

TUESDAY

We went to the Science Spectrum and Uncle Brenter came with us. They both had to put on smocks before they could play in the water.

WEDNESDAY

Made chicken pot pie for suppper. It's actually one we all really enjoy.

THURSDAY

Avery yelling. She has started "yelling" this week. Not crying but yelling. Maybe I can get some on video soon.

FRIDAY

My DH watched the kids so I could sneak off and finish this blanket. I am making it for a friend who is having a baby. She is having twins so, it's time to start the second one. Whew!

SATURDAY

Finished washing and folding ALL these clothes today. My DH even helped some yesterday. Thanks honey!

Science Spectrum

So, today we went looking for a dance studio for Audrey. We had some luck....but not much. We went to 6 places and only two were open. One we hated and the other one we loved. The one we loved only had openings for gymnastics not the combo classes (20mins each of tap, ballet, and gymnastics)that most places have had and we wanted to do. So, I am going to get on the phone and CALL these places in about an hour instead of driving around all over town with a 3 month who still isn't really fond of the car. I also learned that dance studio hours are usually from 3-8 not 10-5 or something like that (seeing they were all closed).

In he meantime, we are fully enjoying the Science Spectrum! Uncle Brenter even made it out this week with us. We have been going atleast once a week and having a blast everytime. Here are some pictures of our fun:

This is the water part. It is our favorite if you can't tell by all the pictures.

Do you see that Little Tikes car behind Audrey? She is obsessed with it! We have had to tell her she can't play with it before because she wasn't sharing it at all. This is the only thing she has ever been that way with. She will drag it around the room with her just so another kids can't get it!

Spinning the water wheel.

We always wear our smocks so we don't get wet! Even Uncle Brenter had to wear one.

Trying to fill up that tube before it drains.

I think there's a hole in my cup! (There is.)

Looking across the room.

Bubbles are also a favorite. Daddy is REALLY good at them.

Getting the last of the energy out before it's time to go home and take a nap.

Random Dozen

1. Have you ever fired a gun or shot a bow and arrow?
I shot a bow and arrow once when I was little at camp. I fired a gun a little over 3 years ago. My DH, some friends, and I went to a shooting range. I told my husband that I would shoot but didn't want to when we got there. However, he made me and I shot 3 times and cried through the whole thing. lol

2. Do you know where your childhood best friends are?
Some of them I do. Alot of them are still in my hometown but I don't keep up with them. It just seems that SO much has changed since then. I guess I mean that it feels like they might as well be strangers now.

3. Do you usually arrive early, late, or on time?
I am usually on time. It drives me CRAZY to be late (the OCD in me I guess).

4. Are you more of a New York or California type?
Depends on what mood I am in. Would definately love the shopping in NY (though it wouldn't be good for me). But the beach sounds real good right about now, too.

5. Do you have a special ring tone?
Nope. I always use the one that is the closest to a classic ring.

6. What is your favorite type of chip?
I am more of a dip person than a chip person. I guess because of that I would have to pick Fritos or tortilla chips.

7. Best comedy you've ever seen is ....
That's a really tough one. We are HUGE movie people and not sure I could pick a top favorite comedy. Dumb and Dumber always makes me laugh and is a classic I guess.

8. Have you ever cut your own hair? To quote Dr. Phil, "How'd that work for ya?"
NO. I have never attempted this. Never even crossed my mind. Long and grown out always seemed the better option of the two.

9. If you were going to have an extreme makeover, would you rather it be about your house or your personal self?
house most definately

10. Are you allergic to anything?
not that I know of

11. Why is it so hard to change?
Because we are comfortable with what we know and are used to. Who wants to be uncomfortable?

12. One last question dedicated to February love: CS Lewis said, "To love is to be vulnerable." Please share one example of that assertion or share any thought you'd like to about this topic.
Sharing parts of yourself with someone you love that you would NEVER show to anyone else is one way. Doing things for someone else that makes you unhappy/unfomfortable but they enjoy.

Project 365-Week 8

So, I am on top of things this week with P365. It is Saturday afternoon at almost 4 and I am finishing and saving my post. Too bad I haven't posted in a WEEK. So, being finished and ready to link makes up for that....almost.

As I look back on the week I wonder if I favor different kids different weeks. lol Just joking. Avery is in a lot this week though. My husband made a comment that I had not put her in many of the pictures. So this should make up for it :)

SUNDAY

In daddys boots.

MONDAY

Bath time always melts my heart. Any theories as to why a clean, wet, naked baby is just SO adorable?

TUESDAY

Avery can almost ride in the stroller Neena gave her without her carseat attached to it. Yay! Less to get out.

WEDNESDAY

Avery playing on her mat. She can ALMOST roll over.

THURSDAY

I don't have hardly any pictures of ME with my girls as I am usually the one behind the camera.

This is my junk drawer. I was inspired by a fellow blogger to get cleaning.

FRIDAY

We finally put her crib up since she has just about outgrown her bassinett. Isn't it cute?!?!

SATURDAY

We went to the Lions Club pancake festival with Grandad and Linda. Audrey ate almost THREE huge "cake cakes".

Then we got to spend the afternoon with our long lost Aunt Alex who moved to Amarillo in December. We miss her SO much!

Hope everyone had a great week. Sara is the gracious one who hosts every week. Go here to see her blog, see all the other participants pictures, and link up if you wanna join in. Can't wait to see all the other pictures this week!

My husband surprised me by coming home with this new laptop. He got a GREAT deal on it at Best Buy. I was/am SO excited!

We got some more snow this day. It was really pretty and melted by the end of the day pretty much. Yippee!

Audrey's Birthday!

We had a great birthday party for Audrey. The weather was horrible so most of the people invited didn't make it. The Ball family (who have 8 kiddos) came though. They helped fill up the table so it was far from boring. :) Here are a BUNCH of photos of the party:

I made birthday pancakes for the birthday girl. YUM!

We had the birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and the Ball family joined us. There was just a little competition at the skeeball.

We had some family there even though the weather was bad. Uncle Blaker and Uncle Brenter made it out.

Everyone had lots of pizza and drinks.

Especially Uncle Brenter

We had picture time with Chuck E. (after much reassurance he was NOT scary).

She was definately the star of the show. Just how she likes it.

We rode LOTS of rides with friends.

She opened lots of presents and one of her favorites had to be the poncho that Mrs. Ball made for her. It matched her friend Amelia's exactly.

All in all she had a GREAT birthday and was completely.utterly.exhausted afterward.

Project 365-Week 5

So, these are my P365 photos from about two weeks ago. lol With my camera out of commission this is the first chance I have had to post them. Atleast I got them up. I think I remember what days I took these on. Oh well, I will do my best.

SUNDAY

Sunday after naps, we went to Jumpin' Jungle at the mall. It was pretty fun. Probably won't go back too soon though.

MONDAY

We hardly did anything today. We DID make the Glasscock family out of potato heads.

TUESDAY

Audrey and her daddy have this ritual where she climbs in his lap to eat dessert after dinner. It is always SO cute that it is hard not to snap a picture of it every night.

WEDNESDAY

Neena came today for Audrey's birthday. YAY!

THURSDAY

It snowed so, Audrey got to go out and play in it. Yippee!

Audrey "helping" make her birthday cake.

FRIDAY

I have made Audrey birthday pancakes every morning on her birthday. Hoping to continue this tradition as the kids get older of letting them pick out the day's menu (within reason).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUDREY! Amelia is her best friend next to her.

SATURDAY

The hat that Chuck E. Cheese gave Audrey for her birthday. She decided that today was Daddy's birthday.
So, that's it for those. I will try and post her birthday pictures tonight or tomorrow.

PS-I got a new laptop today! I can now upload my pictures about 5 times as fast. YAY!

No Matter What

So, I got my camera back. I know your excited. So was I. The original problem was that every time I would use the video feature it would make and record onto the video a clicking noise. You can hear it on the video here if you don't believe me. So, I took the camera back to Best Buy to get it fixed. I had paid an extra $50 when I bought it last October to have this warranty that no matter what happened....NO MATTER WHAT...that they would fix it. The conversation went like this

EMPLOYEE: Would you like to add a warranty that allows you to bring your camera in and get it fixed if it breaks.
ME: Is it only for manufacturer problems?
EMPLOYEE: No ma'am it doesn't matter what the problem is.
ME: I have a 3 year old. What if she drops it in the toilet and tries to flush it down?
EMPLOYEE: That is fine.
ME: What if I drop it outside and accidentally run over it with the car?
EMPLOYEE:Bring it in and we will fix it if we can and if not we will replace it.
ME:What if it get washed in the washing machine?
EMPLOYEE:It doesn't matter what happens ma'am we will fix it or replace it if it can not be fixed. No matter what
ME: No matter what?
EMPLOYEE:No matter what.

Okay, sounds like a good deal to me. So I paid for the warranty. Three months later it starts making the clicking noise. I have not dropped it in the toilet, run over it with the car, or washed it in the washing machine. There was NO reason for this problem. Whatev, I will take it in and get it fixed. So, I take it in and they tell me they have to send it off. They also tell me it is going to take about a week and a half to get it back. UGH! Don't they have a geek squad there or something? So, I let them have my precious camera and they send it off for 10 days.

I got it in the mail yesterday! Whoo Hoo! I put my battery in, turn the dial to the video feature, and record Audrey randomly singing. I play it back and this is what I hear: "Oh how I love...CLICK...Oh how I love...CLICK...OH how I love...CLICK....because He first loved...CLICK..."
After 10 days.....10 days....they didn't even fix the problem. I have yet to make it to Best Buy to get a new camera. That is what I will do though. I will get a new one if I have to stand in that store all day. They are not getting it back for any longer. The good new is that in the meantime I will have it to upload picture from Audrey's birthday and the week of P365 I missed. I will try and get those loaded soon...NO MATTER WHAT.

Random Dozen

1. Are you pleasant when you're ill, or are you a grumpy, fussy patient?
I'm pretty much grumpy although I won't admit at the time.

2. When you find out that school is canceled (due to inclement weather) what is your gut reaction?
Yay! My husband will be home to help me with the kids

3. What is one domestic skill you wish you could improve?
SEWING....never learned how. I just want to be able to hem something, at least. I can't sew straight at all.

4. Do you decorate your home for Valentine's Day?
Nope. I don't at all but I did decorate my blog.

5. What song is on your mind today?
None today. I have had The Lion King stuck in my head for the last week though. "OH I just can't wait to be king..." Thanks for reminding me.

6. Do you prefer contemporary movies or classic?
both

7. How well do you "compartmentalize" your feelings? For example, how well can you put aside a really trying moment to deal with the immediate situation which is not related to the trying moment, e.g., putting aside a tiff with your spouse in order to finish wallpapering a room.
Horribly! I wish that I could put things away until I have "time" to deal with them. When something is bothering me I can't stop thinking about it until it is dealt with though.

8. What is the first thing that attracted you to your spouse? (Or if you're single, to your best friend.)
I always tell my husband that the first time I saw him I thought "Oooo he's cute. Old but cute." lol I am not joking!

9. When was the last time your heart raced?
A few hours ago when Audrey fell on the baby and she started crying (she's fine btw).

10. What are your memories of Valentine's Day at school?
I don't really have any as I was home schooled until 5th grade.

11. If you were going to receive candy for Valentine's Day, which would you prefer?
Godiva truffles

12. Red or pink?
Definately red...with two girls I am SICK of pink.

Weekend Happenings

So, things have been pretty upbeat around here this weekend. We aren't running around like crazy or anything but, we have been keeping ourselves from being bored.

Friday we went to the Science Spectrum. It was really fun. We went the weekend before and realized that a ONE day pass was 1/3 the price of an annual pass so, we bought the annual family pass. It has already been TOTALLY worth it. We went Friday and Saturday this week. Saturday they had a kids dental fair. It was pretty fun. We came home with about a half a dozen kids toothbrushes. lol I will probably end up using some for cleaning. They have a childrens room that is HUGE and has all kinds of toys and hands on learning things. I will post some pictures as soon as my camera gets here!

Speaking of that, Best Buy called me and said that it was fixed and should arrive in the next 5 business days. That was on Saturday. So, hopefully I will get it soon. I was having SO much fun taking pictures for P365 and am was doing fairly well. I am really bummed that I missed an entire week and a half. UGH! When I took it in, I had a whole week of pictures that were finished and all I needed to do was post them. So, as soon as I get it I will post those.

On Saturday, my sweet husband gave me my anniversary present early. It was a giftcard to Dillards so that I could go get some Uggs! I was SO excited! He said I got it early because he wanted me to be able to wear them before winter was over. One of the best parts is that it was a giftcard so, I got to go shopping and pick out the ones I wanted. I love to shop for what I want (and he had no idea what to get). It's one of the simple joys that you miss when your husband is in school and you have two little ones and your broke. :) So, off I went to Dillards for 2 WHOLE hours by myself! I found the ones I wanted and absolutely love them! Thanks sweetie!

If you don't have a pair of these I atleast urge you to go try a pair on. They are SO comfortable and soft. Every pair is lined with genuine sheepskin. They come in a TON of different styles but they all have the signature sheepskin lining which is what makes them so awesome.

Yesterday was Sunday and we cooked stuff to take for fellowship meal. My husband cooked a brisket in the oven all night and I made 3 dozen Valentine cookies to take. We were up pretty late finishing it all and he got up early to cut up the brisket and put it in the crockpot to take. We loaded the kids into the car, then went back to get the food. As we were putting the food into the car, I looked at my calendar on my phone and realized that fellowship meal is NEXT Sunday. So, we took the food back inside and had brisket wraps and cookies for dinner. I am glad that we didn't walk in with all our food and look stupid though. This is still a fairly new church for us and looking stupid is still a big one we are trying to avoid. :)

That was pretty much what we did this weekend. Like I said, not boring but not crazy either. It was just right. Now, I have to tend to my messy house that was neglected the whole time. Where are those toothbrushes.......?

Hooray! Hooray!...

...I won my first giveaway! I am SO excited to have won this giveaway from Linda on her blog!

The book is You Can Still Wear Cute Shoes by Lisa McKay and is specifically for preachers wives. I am not a preachers wife but, am planning on giving it to someone who is and deserves it SO much. I have to admit, I have often wondered what the life of a preachers wife REALLY is like. I have to remind myself that they are only human as well. They do SO much that I don't even know about. It's like they have supernatural powers or something. lol So, I am planning on flipping through it atleast before I pass it off(gotta check out those super-powers you know!). The book looks really funny and interesting . You can read more about it here though.

I headed to Linda's blog after hearing that she had a plethera of good book read ideas(which she does).I have been looking for something to read while I am sitting feeding the baby (total multi-tasker addict). I not only found LOTS of ideas, I decided to enter this contest. I still cannot believe I actually won because I never win anything. So, thank you again for hosting the giveaway and all the great read ideas Linda! I am excited to get the book!
